- full-board accommodation in 3* hotels, drinks not included, the excursions mentioned, bus transport, transfer (only one for the outward journey, and one for the journey back), cancellation insurance.

Observations

You will have to book the journey to Erevan on your own convenience – it is not included in this price.

Applicants will be informed in due time about their rank on the participants or waiting list. Indications on the expected arrival time in Erevan will be provided in order to buy their flight to this destination.

Program

► The programme will be:
- Erevan, capital of Armenia: its museum of history to learn about the country, the Zvartnots temple, and panoramic city tour
- Surroundings: Khor Virap and Noravank monasteries. Karahounj observatory
- Goris, which contains some of the best examples of architecture in Armenia. Visit of the cave city Khdzoresk.
- Tatev and its monastery, a masterpiece of 10th-century architecture
- Seven Lake, one of the widest mountain lakes in the world
- Diligen, tour of Goshank, an amazing mix of nature and Armenian architecture
- Vocal concert at the Geghard monastery by a quartet of professional singers performing religious and secular songs. Lunch will be served by local people in their home after having watched the making of Armenian bread called lavash
- a folk show in Ashtarak
- a 2½-hour hike with a difference in height between 200 and 300m will be optionally proposed on the following spots:
- gorges of the Azat River to admire the basalt columns, the mysterious caves in Khdzoresk, the Amaghou Gorge leading to the village of Areni.
- each walk will be charged €5 per person per spot and will have to be booked one month in advance.
- trips on the coach will last 2½ hours daily. Detailed programme will be sent out one month before departure.
Accommodation will be in 3* hotels (local standards): 4 nights in Erevan, 2 nights in Goris and one night in Dilijan.
Lunches will be served in typical Armenian restaurants.
