OSCAR 2025 at the Silbersee holiday park
This year's OSCAR took place at the Silbersee holiday park near Frielendorf in the North Hesse region, also known as Little Red Riding Hood country, from 16th – 20th June. The event was organised by the Marburg section and strongly supported by Sabine and Ronald from the Konstanz section, who live nearby.
Places had been reserved for 100 people in houses, bungalows and flats at the holiday park. As the registration deadline approached, there were less registrations than anticipated and it was thought that the number of participants would not reach 80. However, as the deadline loomed, there was a flood of registrations.
Naples and its amazing surroundings
25 Jumeleurs (23 from Germany, 1 Spaniard and 1 Jumeleur from England) met in Naples In May 2025 to explore the city, its surroundings and beautiful Campania.
The planning and organisation was carried out by our friend Franco Mazzarella from Milan, who, with the support of ‘Viaggi e Miraggi’, showed us the city of Naples with all its different facets and offered us an interesting and varied stay.
SPANISH COURSE IN TOSSA DE MAR - 27.04. TO 04.05.2025

The participants were divided into groups according to their language proficiency level. They were all allocated to three classrooms where the teachers were already waiting for them. At the last minute, one person decided to participate in the beginners' course, even though she initially was not enrolled to undertake a course. Bravo!
2024: Report from a French holiday worker in Bonn / Germany
During my stay in Bonn, I resided with four different families, who I was introduced to on my arrival in Germany, during a get-together organised by Tina and Simone. The first family to welcome me was Ingrid and Wolfgang. It was my first time in another country on my own and I needed time to adapt to the German language and my new environment. Ingrid and Wolfgang were very kind and attentive to me during the two weeks I stayed with them. Their house was quite close to the shop where I worked, and the short commute made it easy to get to my work-place in the morning.
