Dear friends of Eurojumelages,

A Spanish language course was organised in Tossa de Mar from 24 April to 4 May 2025.
Our Jumeleur and Board member Felipe Romera, together with his team from the Girona section, organised this language course in the best possible way, as well as including an exciting and very interesting cultural programme.
When someone goes on a trip, they have a story to tell’: enthusiastic travellers told me about their impressions of this language and cultural trip (including the power cut). Many of them will remember their experiences for a long time to come.

SPANISH COURSE IN TOSSA DE MAR - 27.04. TO 04.05.2025

The participants were divided into groups according to their language proficiency level. They were all allocated to three classrooms where the teachers were already waiting for them. At the last minute, one person decided to participate in the beginners' course, even though she initially was not enrolled to undertake a course. Bravo!

Dear friends of Eurojumelages,

Every year, Eurojumelages organizes a ski week in POZZA di FASSA, primarily for winter sports enthusiasts.
In this event one can marvel at the splendour of the alpine mountains and envoy a full spectrum of sporting activities, all this whilst strengthening the community and the team spirit among Jumeleurs.

A big thank you to Jean Luc and your team for organizing this event every year.

In your report, you tell us about the highlights and special experiences of the week, from the first turns on the freshly groomed ski-pistes to the cosy evenings in the hotel restaurant - there was plenty to talk about!

 EUROJUMELAGES – POZZA DI FASSA 2025

Our ski week in the Dolomites has become a tradition and this year took place from 19 January to 26 January in Pozza Di Fassa.

The “Friendship Week” was launched in the early 1980s by Nicola Di Biase from Milan. Nicola was one of the four founders of today's ‘Eurojumelages’.
After several stays at Nicola Di Biase's side in Pozza Di Fassa, and after he had promised to continue the “Friendship Week”, Jean-Luc Heller from Jumelages Européens de Strasboug-Alsace’ took over the management of this ski event at the Hôtel Meida in Pozza Di Fassa in 2010.

In memory of Teresa GUMIENNA. 

On December 24, 2024, Teresa Gumienna died at the age of 84.

Initiator and founder of the Polish Federation of Jumelages of Telekomunikacja Polska.
First Chairwoman of the Polish Federation of Jumelages of Telekomunikacja Polska in 1995-2006.
A person thanks to whom - for over 33 years we have had the opportunity to be part of the Jumelage community; meet so many wonderful people and visit so many places of Europe.
In order to actively and consciously promote the movement of Jumelage she participated in the Jumelages congresses in Ofir- Portugal, Menton - France, Como - Italy.
As a long-time employee of the Polish Telecom Management Board in Warsaw - with her knowledge and competence, she actively supported and promoted the activities of the Jumelage movement among Telecommunications employees and their families.
She was the initiator of cooperation agreements between Telekomunikacja Polska and France Telecom at the ministerial level in Poland and France.
In 1995, at the 4th Jumelages Congress in Menton-Roquebrune Cap Martin in France, she officially introduced Poland as a full member among the member countries associated with the International Jumelages Union.
As a Council of Administration member, she organized in 1997 the CA Members visit in Warsaw and the CA meeting in Borków near Kielce in Poland; as well as the Polish language course for Jumelage members in Warsaw.

Teresa Gumienna will remain in our memory as a pioneer of the jumelage movement- something new and unknown to many of us in Poland, but above all - as a communicative, friendly and kind person..

          May rest in peace . . .
