The foundation of Eurojumelages Romania dates back to 1991.

Due to Corona, however, the 30th anniversary of the foundation could not be celebrated in 2021 and had to be postponed by one year. Thus, the President of the Bucharest Section, Camelia Bitea, issued an invitation to all Jumeleurs to participate in a friendship week in Romania from 15th to 21st May 2022 to "belatedly celebrate" the 30th anniversary.

Spanish course in Benidorm

beni lang k001Province of Alicante, Community of Valencia 7 to 11th November, 2021

We begin this report with the genesis of the adventure and the much desired initiative of Antonia from Valencia Jumelages, inviting us to this Spanish course. Obliged to abandon the reunion planned in Murcia in 2020 as a consequence of the health issues of our dear and very devoted organiser, Camilo, and also due to this damned pandemic together with lockdown, our disappointment was enormous. I take this opportunity to pass on our best regards to Camilo who has led us for so long on the roads to the discovery of Spain, its language, patrimony and traditions. Thank you Camilo. We think of you a lot. I am not forgetting Maria Louisa and her Madrid team’s investment who concocted gatherings that remain vivid in our memories.

Finally, the French language course in Montpellier from 18th - 25th September 2021 could take place! The language course had been postponed for a year because of Corona. Not all participants from Germany and Spain came who were planning to do so in 2019.
The event was carried out under the strictest French Corona regulations. In the hotel, in all restaurants and indoors, the pass sanitaire was checked and a mask had to be worn. All were vaccinated and this gave us optimal Covid security.

2021: First post-covid-19 French course

mope pont 170The course was originally planned for September 2020; due to covid-19 it was then postponed to June 2021, but finally organised in September!!
I couldn't believe it anymore, because starting with 48 registrations and finishing with19 was very complicated!!

But today the worries are forgotten and I am left with a feeling of relief and satisfaction. We had a very dynamic group composed of 7 Spaniards, 11 Germans and 1 Dane who adapted perfectly to the different course locations but were assiduously present for their class every morning from 9 am to 1 pm.
